Celebrating the Life & Legacy

of

Apostle Gwendolyn Mary Paul Moss-Thompson

“If you are reading this that means I have made my glorious transition into the Father’s Glory! Remember to always Live, Love and Laugh and you must never forget to Dance for now!  I am healed from all the things that once illed me.  But now ALL bondage is broken and healing is my portion.  To God Be The Glory!!!

And because this will be my last opportunity to boss you around, included are my last rites/desires and insurance papers.  I say to you as God told Joshua, “Be careful to do all that I have commissioned”.”   Gwen

Apostle Gwendolyn accepted Christ as a child in Hyde Park Church at 13 years old.  Gwendolyn went on to be baptized at St. Paul Church of God in Christ by the late Bishop Louis Henry Ford in 1980.

On November 27, 1990, she married the love of her life, her best friend and faithful companion, Plez, who remained by her side until God called her home.  He stood by her side and was her biggest cheerleader.

She was later baptized by Bishop Lance L. Davis at J. Claude Allen AME Church on May 30, 1998. It was there that Gwen renewed her vow to the Lord Jesus Christ.  She followed Bishop Davis as he founded the New Zion Fellowship and was a faithful member. From that day forward she worked to become well equipped and prepared for ministry. She worked with the Walking Well Prison Ministry encouraging women to give their lives to Christ and walk in the way of holiness. She did Street Evangelism for many years. Pastor G, as she was lovingly called, was baptized yet again and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit which empowered her with holy boldness.  She made it her known testimony that she transitioned from the streets to the sanctuary, the pole to the pulpit, from seductress to persuader, perversion to holiness, from gangster to preacher..

Gwen, loved her family and enjoyed being with them, listening to music, cooking and playing games.   Her life was centered around faith, family and friends.

Apostle Gwen was ordained and installed as Pastor of Abounding Love Ministry in 2012 by Apostle Edith Wright and Prophet Georgia Harvey.  Because of her in depth and insightful teaching the church grew rapidly and many other members and Pastors joined with her.  Out of this love for the word of God and love for God’s people, God’s Abounding Love Ministries was born.  She was elevated to the position of Apostle on May 26, 2023 by Chief Apostle Kathleen Miles, Apostle Edith Wright, and Chief Apostle Ilah Ball.

She leaves in the care of God her legacy, her husband, Plez Thompson, her daughter, Tiffany, 1 special niece/daughter, Victoria, 3 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 6 Nanna Boo’s, 1 brother and 1 sister, 14 nieces and nephews, 32 grand nieces and nephews, 33 great-grand nieces and nephews, a host of friends, family, ex-family and spiritual children and her heart, God’s Abounding Love Sanctuary.

Her lasting hope is that the reading and hearing of this her final words and mini biography will be a blessing and that salvation will be your portion.
